Strategic Flexibility: Navigating Talent Shortages with Part-Time Hiring (Virtual)

Description

Economists predict a significant tightening of the labor market over the next decade as baby boomers retire, US birth rates decline, and severe talent shortages in functional areas such as accounting and technology grow. Employers will find it increasingly difficult to fill critical positions. At the same time, job seekers are placing greater priority on work flexibility post-pandemic, including professionals with caregiving responsibilities for children and/or aging parents as well as older workers who largely want to remain in the workforce but scale back as they near retirement. This confluence of market and demographic trends is creating a labor market where hiring part-time professionals can be an advantageous staffing strategy, especially for non-profit organizations.

Join FlexProfessionals as we share insights for non-profit organizations about how to capitalize on these trends to attract and compete for top talent using flexibility. We will discuss how best to adopt flexible hiring strategies, where part-time resources can be most effective, and what to look for when hiring part-time. Referencing real-life case studies, we will demonstrate how non-profit organizations have realized increased productivity and growth by taking advantage of part-time and flexible hiring models.
