Please join us a we host a joint program with the Greater Rockville Chamber of Commerce (Nonprofit Mastermind) and Nonprofit Montgomery addressing the Burnout and Secondary Trauma Nonprofit Leaders are currently facing.
In the challenging times that we have experienced with COVID and government uncertainty, many organizations are seeing their staff experiencing exhaustion and burnout. Dealing with this can involve anxiety and even trauma. This presentation is designed to help you identify signs of burnout, including secondary trauma. We will also offer suggestions and brainstorming on what supervisors and organizations can do to support their employees.
The presenter for the session will be Cari Guthrie, President and CEO , Cornerstone Montgomery. Cari is a seasoned leader in the field of mental health and nonprofit management, currently serving as the President and CEO of Cornerstone Montgomery. With a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland, Cari has dedicated over 30 years of her career to the organization, beginning as a residential counselor and advancing to her current position as CEO. In her role, Cari oversees the overall operations and administration of Cornerstone Montgomery, focusing on partnerships, growth, education, and advocacy to further the organization’s mission of providing essential mental health services.
This session is taking part during the monthly Nonrofit Mastermind sessions held by the Greater Rockville Chamber of Commerce. The Nonprofit Mastermind tackles issues impacting the nonprofit community and explores how organizations can best operate and thrive in today’s market. Member nonprofits meet on the second Monday of every month from 9:30–10:30 AM collaborative discussion, shared learning, and peer support.
