When is a Dollar Not a Dollar: Tracking the Real Costs of Raising Money (Virtual)
Description
We all know that raising money through fundraising and contracts takes effort which translates to money. While it is generally understood that you need to spend money to make money, how do we know what the appropriate threshold is when a dollar raised is no longer worth the cost of the effort to earn it? In this session, we look at how to build stronger financial systems that can track the administrative burden associated with our revenue strategies. This arms us with the critical data for making those 'is it worth it?' decisions and positioning ourselves and our sector to advocate for less burdensome and costly funder servicing requirements (eg proposals, special reports, restricted funding, meeting requirements, etc).
